State Roads Commission Seeks Bids to Build One Mile of New Highway

The State Roads Commission advertised bids to construct one mile of concrete highway from New Windsor toward Liberty via Buffalo road as part of closing the Frederick to Westminster six mile gap. Two routes through Oak Orchard to Liberty were considered, with rights of way issues noted but likely resolved for the Buffalo route. If resolved, two miles may be built from the Frederick end before winter, leaving three miles to bridge in summer 1924.
