Night collision damages two autos on North Market Pike
At the old toll gate house on North Market street pike a seven passenger Hudson driven by Dan Pearl collided with Fred Mills’s Ford roadster on Saturday night at seven o clock. The Hudson carrying Pearl and contractor Edgar L. Beison rolled on its side causing top damage and broken wheel while the Ford suffered a broken front wheel and bent fenders. No serious injuries reported and a hearing was set for 2 PM before Justice J Grahame Johnson.

Epworth League Devotional Meet Plans Powerfully
The Epworth League at Winchester Hall held its first devotional meeting of the church year with George M. Free presiding. Chicago September 11 Leaders of the striking railway shop crafts met in a peace session to map a new policy. B M Jewell head of the Federated Shop Crafts said clear action courses would be chosen and announced after the general policy committee meeting. Pedestrian Struck by Speeding Auto Near Middletown
Charles Bowlus of Airview east of Middletown suffered a badly lacerated face and a cut nose when struck by an automobile near his home just after 10 p.m. He was thrown onto stones, and the driver left the scene. A Middletown motorist later found Bowlus dazed and a physician treated him before he was hospitalized.

George A. Dean Dies After Long Career in Fredericktown
George A. Dean aged 81 died at 203 Rockwell Terrace this afternoon from heart trouble after a brief illness. He was a former ship engineer for Charleston Steamship and Merchant's and Miner's, later a director at Fredericktown Savings Institution and Mutual Fire Insurance. A Civil War veteran and publican, he served as county commissioner in 1897. He leaves a second wife Alice and four surviving children from the first marriage plus four more from the second. He was active in local lodges and organizations.

Gunfire Near Winchester Prompts Night Flight Car Raid
A party of Michigan tourists in a blue painted Hudson were fired upon near Clearbrook Va as they passed Whetsell's garage.
