Manatee Sighted Near Rock Hall Sparks Wildlife Search
The U S Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a Northward manatee spotted last weekend in Langford Creek near Rock Hall Maryland. Officials warn the Florida Georgia resident cannot survive Chesapeake Bay winter and may be relocated to warmer waters if it remains. The endangered mammal, about 12 feet long and up to 3000 pounds, has a bristled snout and rounded tail.
