Public Works Staff Move Into Old Social Services Building
About 70 Frederick County Public Works employees will relocate to the old county social services building on North Market Street by the end of October. Faced with a tight budget, workers largely renovated the facility themselves, saving the county money though some grumbled about doing the work.

Keller family transplant hopeful for Neil's leukemia battle
In Columbia South Carolina Neil Keller, a Valley Elementary gym teacher, undergoes a bone marrow transplant from his father Charles Keller to treat Neil's leukemia. Doctors report he is doing extremely well with no setbacks, though his immune system remains weakened and precautions like masking are in place. A fundraiser chicken barbecue at Jefferson Raritan Community Center aims to offset transplant costs, with a 1 to 5 p.m. schedule and six dollar tickets for adults, free for children under six.
