Maryland AG urged CPA rule changes on advertising and referrals
The Antitrust Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office urges the Board of Public Accountancy to allow CPA advertising with testimonials, permit solicitation to uninvited or pre-hired clients, and replace the ban on referral commissions with disclosed arrangements. The board plans to consider these recommendations as part of its regulatory review series.
