Fair Finds Honest Man at Maryland State Fair
At Timonism Maryland the State Fair awarded prize winning cakes during Farm Bureau day while 350 to 400 gallons of milk were discarded. A Baltimore reader returned an overpayment and sent one dollar. Winners included Mrs Mildred Pearce and Mrs Atlee Armour with blue ribbon cakes. A dairy herd displayed three milking cows yielding 18 gallons daily, totaling about 572 gallons wasted. A grand champion lamb Jimpshire class died of a heart attack after judging.
