Fall’s Touch Cast Chill Over Frederick Residents
Frederick residents felt autumn as temperatures dipped to 49 at the weather bureau station near the airport marking the coldest spell since spring. Forecasters predicted a repeat tonight with a likely slight warm up into the low to mid seventies by Saturday. Local residents added extra blankets as temperatures fell about 12 degrees from the prior night, while yesterday’s high reached 82. Citizens blamed recent warm, damp conditions for a surge in mosquitoes seen in large populations, noted by many observers.
