Bishop Clark Dies. Rhode Island Bishop Succumbs in Middletown
Right Rev. Thomas March Clark, presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in the United States, and oldest bishop in the Anglican Communion, died suddenly at his Middletown home. Born July 4, 1812, in Newburyport, he was educated at Yale and Princeton, served in Grace Church Boston and Trinity Boston, led St. Andrew's Philadelphia, then Hartford, and was consecrated bishop of Rhode Island in 1854. He became presiding bishop in 1899.

Four Men Injured In Five Mile Motor Cycle Race
Four riders were seriously hurt after plunging from a five mile handicap at Manhattan Bend that saw Barnard, Dufrane, Rogers, and Johnson crash from the track embankment. Barnard said a rider ahead forced him off. The men, from New Jersey Connecticut and New York, were carried away unconscious or with bleeding injuries.

Death by Own Action Brunning Threw Before Train

Altoona Pa Sept 19 Frank Sons and an unidentified man were killed and an Indian wounded in a derailment of a train of small dump cars on the Portage railroad near Duncansville. The men employed by Contractor Kedbaugh rode to work on the cars. When the engine hit a switch cars separated, the men jumped, and were run over on the track.
