Frederick area man Robert J. Lehman of RFD 6 Frederick faced an $11.45 fine for failure to drive to the right of center after a Sunday 6:30 a.m. crash on Braddock Mountain Route 40. State Police said Lehman, eastbound, claimed hood failure obscured his vision and swerved into the westbound lane, hitting James Peterson of Washington. About $1,000 total damage. Peterson’s 1952 Cadillac sustained about $700 damage and Lehman’s car about $300.

Thieves Dine During Linden Hills Food Market Robbery
Thieves who robbed the Linden Hills Food Market of Herman Brown escaped with about 25 dollars in quarters and two butcher knives after breaking in Friday night or Saturday morning. Detectives said the cash box under the counter held about 25, while a 75 dollar cash register was untouched. The intruders ate bananas lunch meat and potato chips during the raid. The theft was discovered at 8.36 a.m. Saturday.
