City parking deck rates rise in Frederick ordinance
Frederick officials approved July increases for three city parking decks with a October 1 effective date. Court Street deck up 50 dollars, Church Street 45, Carroll Creek 40. Hourly rates set at 1 dollar for one hour 2 dollars for two hours and 50 cents for each additional hour up to 5 dollars for eight hours. Parking chief Steven Johnson said the hike keeps the enterprise fund in the black explaining there had been no raises in eight years. He noted staggered increases to push use toward less busy decks, Carroll Creek being the least used. Johnson said GFDC influenced the final figure to avoid another rise soon.
