Frederick County Social Services adopts unique state computer system
The Frederick County Social Services Department announced it is connecting to the Client Information System to link public assistance, child support and other programs. The system will auto match records with the Motor Vehicle Administration wage files and social security data, helping to reduce fraud and set accurate benefit amounts. A team from Baltimore will install it, with Frederick set to join the next phase alongside Washington and several other counties. Delays and backlogs are anticipated during conversion, and clients are asked to limit calls and visits unless urgent.
