Quynns and Daughters Arrive Pending Return Home
Mrs. Allen G. Quynn and her two daughters Peggy and Serene were due to arrive in San Francisco aboard the President Taft, part of an evacuation from Shanghai. Brother-in-law Jack Price met them in Chicago by air, and a telegram says he arrived safely in San Francisco. Commander Quynn remains aboard the Asheville in Chinese waters. Allen Quynn Jr. sails for America on the President Pierce and is expected in New York about October 19 via the Suez canal. The family had been living in Hongkong.

Auto Wreck Sends Two Men to Jail and Hospital
Two Brunswick men allegedly under the influence tried to take control of a car leading to a Brunswick Burkittsville road wreck. Schrader wrestled the steering wheel and was jailed after a scuffle. he later received hospital treatment for two broken ribs. Runkles was cited for drunken driving. Four En Route To College Are Killed
