Kinland suspended 12 months for narcotics case says Capino
Brenda Capino, once of Frederick, argues a 12 month license suspension for Dr Leonard Kinland is too lenient. The Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance found evidence of a sexual relationship and problematic prescribing. Capino contends Kinland should have faced longer punishment for allegedly dangerous narcotics distribution and personal harm.

Doctor Kinland Faces Six Month Suspension Over Prescribing Abuses
The board continued suspension of Dr Kinland after findings that he prescribed large amounts of narcotics to a patient with evident addiction and frequently provided injections for pain. A note signed as a secret admirer carried substantial credibility along with Capino’s testimony. The sanction includes six months suspension, ethics and controlled substance courses, a psychiatric evaluation, and a three year probation with quarterly reports.
