Man guilty of theft by deception in Thurmont case
A Baltimore man, 45, was found guilty in Frederick County District Court of theft by deception for taking a $300 Thurmont Little League check and depositing it in his own account. Becker claimed employer pressure and was given probation with restitution. Several other local cases were heard by Judge Bennett, including marijuana possession and a concealed weapon case. The Seaway opened to ships in 1959.
