Young Middletown athlete in coma seeks life rebuild
Ryan Gebbin, 16, a former Middletown High School football and basketball player, lies in a coma after a September traffic crash. Now at Alfred I. DuPont Institute in Wilmington, he works to relearn basics as a fund raises for medical bills and home modifications. His friends have started a fundraiser, with church and boosters aiding efforts, to cover rehabilitation costs and potential nursing home care if needed.
