Air Weather Program To Aid Winter Storm Forecasts

The USAF Air Weather Service will cooperate with government agencies to collect winter storm data along the Atlantic coast from Florida to Maine. From November 1 to March, the 53d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron based at Ramey AFB Puerto Rico will fly daily overwater missions observing conditions and tracking storms, with support from CARCAH and the National Weather Service.
