Julia Etchison Hanna 97 longtime Frederick educator and community leader died Thursday evening October 27 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born February 25 1897 in Jefferson she lived in Frederick most of her life. A Hood College graduate she taught English at Frederick High School for 32 years guiding school clubs and 4H programs and helped organize Maryland School Library Club. Her husband John H Hanna Jr married in 1955.
