Davis Sr. Gets Suspended Bulk Of PCP Case Sentence
Frederick man Charles Randolph Davis Sr., 34, was sentenced to a partially suspended three year term for eight PCP laced marijuana packets. He must serve 15 weekends in jail, pay a $300 fine, and may undergo drug counseling with screenings. Police observed him drinking from a beer in a paper bag before a search found the drugs.

Frederick County Grand Jury Sets One-Day Closed Session
A special one day session of the Frederick County Grand Jury is planned for Wednesday behind closed doors at the county courthouse. Deputy State's Attorney Donald Grossnickle declined to comment on grand jury matters. The 25 member panel has previously tackled drug trafficking and child abuse during special sessions and last met in early September.

Germantown day-care operator faces manslaughter charge
Jeanne Anderson Raines, 21, of Germantown, was arrested and charged with manslaughter and child abuse after a baby in her home day care died from an apparent near drowning. She posted a $50,000 bond and a preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 20 in Germantown.
