National FFA Convention heads to Louisville for 1999 event
The 72nd National FFA Convention runs October 27 to 30 in Louisville Ky marking the first time in 72 years the event is held outside Kansas City Mo More than 49 000 FFA members and guests are expected to attend with Maryland sending 155 students and advisers to compete in Career Development Events CDEs and a slate of new contests including creed and agriscience related competitions Significant honorees from Maryland include Robert Valentine Jessica Troxell Mark Valentine Tammy Green and Diane Ogg with officials Shaun Shriner Krista Hartley Matt Koerner Karl Jo Diefenderfer and Bill Callahan leading state delegates.
