Homecoming services mark church reopenings and dedications
In Frederick Maryland a long delayed church reopening is celebrated with a homecoming service led by Rev Harpold and later Rev J Elmer Benson. A fellowship supper follows and a second service by Rev Benson is planned. Koontz Chapel hosts a fourth annual homecoming with Rev G Lear delivering the sermon and baptism sacraments performed by Rev W C Harpol. Parish dedication plans and special music are noted. In Miami Florida a PBS report covers a suitcase theft connected to a July 1955 construction site robbery.
