House pushes new energy bill to aid heat aid hearings

The House moves quickly on emergency legislation to provide 1.35 billion dollars in federal funds this winter to help poor households pay heating bills. PE regains authority to cut off delinquents

Potomac Edison will resume winter disconnections for nonpayment after a three year moratorium. The PSC lifted the ban, allowing disconnections within five days of final notice, with PE promising to use disconnections only as a last resort and to pursue payment plans to avoid shutoffs for 115,000 Western Maryland homes.

Commuter flights launch in Frederick from Monday
