Three Vericts Upheld in Cr et Cour Criminal Appeals
Magistrates upheld three of four criminal appeal verdicts in Cr et Cour Monday. Associate Judge Arthur D Willard presided as four cases were heard. two postponed due to witness absence or illness. George M. Duncan of Washington fined $10 for drunken and reckless driving after appeal denied. Jost his appeal. Jury of twelve returned verdict after about three hours. Duncan and companions contended they drank none. officers testified to intoxication May 25, 1937 between Middletown and South Mountain. Other cases included Judge Willard rebuking speeders and drunken drivers. Donald B. McDowell of Baltimore fined $100 for 60 mph over limit. Charles W Hoffman found not guilty of living drunk. Belgium population noted as 650 per square mile.
