Pot weather fronts bring showers to western Maryland
A warm Georgia to Tennessee front moves north on Thursday with showers spreading across Western Maryland. A Mississippi Valley cold front crosses Friday ending the rain. In Western Maryland, nights grow foggy with readings mid 50s, then a Thursday uptick to mid 60s. Farm outlook notes light southerly winds, dry conditions later, and sunshine around 10 to 40 percent. Weather data for Frederick, Cumberland, Hagerstown, Oakland, Westminster shows temperatures in the 40s to 60s yesterday.

Frederick County pool case ends in license conviction

Buckeystown garage allowed ten cars after board ruling

Man found guilty of false alarm at Mount Saint Mary's College
A New Jersey man, Paul M. Haley, 21, of New Providence, NJ, was found guilty in Frederick County District Court of sounding a false fire alarm at Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg on September 21 at 10:26 p.m. Haley pleaded not guilty but waived a jury trial. Sentencing deferred. Haley was not a student and the college reported no date set for sentencing.
