Community Ministry marks 10th anniversary in Montgomery County
The Montgomery County Community Ministry will celebrate its 10th anniversary Sunday October 24 with a 4 p.m. service at Woodside United Methodist Church in Silver Spring. Executive director Lon Dring says over 200 voices will sing in a massed choir as the ecumenical group traces growth from 19 to 43 member churches and lists notable accomplishments including pressuring Maryland National Bank to avoid apartheid South Africa loans and presenting a youth report at a joint meeting of county leaders.
