Birds at Brigantine and Cape May offer mixed luck and plenty
A field report from Brigantine New Jersey notes a diverse but uneven birding day at the Wildlife Refuge with flashes of Snowy Egrets and herons, a near miss on certain rarities, and a later stop at Cape May highlighting migrating warblers, thrushes, hawks, and kinglets. The author marvels at the array of species while acknowledging not all targets appeared.

Dear Abby letters on suicide, faith, and living arrangements
An anonymous plea asks about Jewish funeral rites for someone who intends self harm and burial in a Jewish cemetery. Abby replies that bodies belong to God but grieving families deserve a religious funeral. The page also covers youth dating moral topics and a San Francisco reader asking if living together means cohabitation, answered as no. The column ends with beauty tips about cost effective loose and pressed face powders.
