Two Suffer Head Injuries In Frederick County Crashes
Two men sustained serious head injuries Thursday on Frederick County streets. Andrew John Skwizynski and Glenn F. Himes were admitted to Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown with fractured skulls. Skwizynski, 26, of Laurel, was thrown from a 1971 sedan after colliding with a Grove Lime truck on I-70S near Hyattsville. Himes, 22, of Jefferson, and Thomas O. Murray Jr., 21, of Jefferson, were injured when their motorcycles collided on Middletown Road near Sumantown Road at 7:50 pm. Murray suffered a possible broken left leg and was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital. Fire losses followed a basement fire at the Fire side Restaurant behind city hall, blamed on faulty wiring and fought by three fire companies.
