Demby Overcame Disability Through Sports And Self Reform
The story follows Demby who lost his legs in Vietnam and endured years of drinking and drugs before turning to sports. He learned to ski and excel in wheelchair basketball and track, setting national records and earning a role in a DuPont commercial for the Seattle Foot prosthetic. Sports revived his independence and helped him regain direction and a college degree.
