BoE Rejects Bid to Review Impressions Guides

The county Board of Education on Monday voted 5-2 to deny reopening the review of Holt Impressions teacher guides amid a push by the Concerned Women of America. Audit finds Frederick County School Board financially sound

Fire follows tanker crash on I-270 and Beltway

A tanker carrying 5000 gallons of gasoline crashed into a bridge abutment on the F270 spur near Potomac Maryland, touching off a blaze that killed the driver and a motorist and burned three others. Crews repaired lanes through the night and investigators sought the crash cause as police recovered a second victim behind a guard rail.
