Error Discovered In U S 1 Stamp in New York
A philatelic error on the U S 1 stamp from 1952, watermarked revenue paper mixed with regular stock, was found by S Kelloge Stryker of Oradell New Jersey. He has 401 mint copies, few used copies exist, and most errors were traced to the Charleston area with limited Midwest finds. Authorities speculate paper mix during printing caused the wrinkle watermark.
