Clapp Accepts Guilty Pleas In Circuit Court
Judge Robert E. Clapp Jr. held court in his chambers due to space limits in Frederick. Several defendants pleaded guilty in Monday sessions as judges Barrick and Fairbanks handled other matters. Cases included Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration disputes and speeding offenses. Statements criticized the MVA, with some defendants receiving probation, suspended sentences, or fines. Notable pleas included Thelma Daugherty for DWI with a suspended sentence, Linden Hamilton on impaired driving, Charles Weeden for shoplifting, Tyrone Jackson on suspended license, John Wilson and Harold Gray radar cases, Alan Lamb for DWI, and Michael Young for failing to appear on a speeding ticket appeal.
