Frederick school mix raises push for action alternatives
A task force proposed 12 options to address racial composition in Frederick County schools after minority enrollment gaps, with no consensus. Alternatives include HEW guidelines, transferring students from South Frederick, and treating South Frederick and Parkway as a unit, while some favor delaying action or avoiding busing. The board will weigh input from a broad community and finalize a plan.
