An exhibit in the C Burt Arts Library marks The News thirteenth anniversary with a bound early volume, a new microfilm roll, 1883 color printing, a photo, and a new engraving plate. A community fund drive led by Ox Fibre Brush Co. employees raised 1708 dollars. Dr Helen Taussig spoke at Hood College event. A street acceptance was approved for Greenwood development on Petersville Road.
