Judge Barrick Rejects Miller Motion To Vacate Judgment

Circuit Court Judge Samuel W. Barrick denied Margaret M. Miller a motion to vacate the $250,000 judgment against her in favor of the American Bank of Maryland. Miller, widow of Robert Lee Miller Jr., argued a satisfaction of judgment against other defendants discharged her liability, but the judge said that defense must have been available when the judgment was entered. The ruling leaves open whether Miller may pursue any defense in later efforts to collect the judgment.
