Bangor Maine October 13 AP Captain Frank Foley said James Dalhover wounded survivor of the Al Brady gang ambush confessed the band killed three policemen and other officers. Dalhover stated Brady killed Richard Rivers Indianapolis sergeant Paul Minneman Indiana state trooper and George Conn Ohio highway patrolman.
Miss Nora M Wise, delegate from the local club, reported to the regular meeting that Ninety to one hundred delegates attended the conference in New Brunswick New Jersey representing thirty four clubs. The conference will be held in Hagerstown next year and Vindohona Braddock Heights hosted last year. The club voted to join the American Legion Armistice Day parade arrangements chaired by Mrs Hilda Croghan.

Motors saw liquidation, steels slower, and wheat at Chicago dropped, with Sterling quoted at $49.579.
Reports from Franco Spain insurgent and government sources claim 30 or more war planes collided during Columbus Day clashes on the Aragon front. Franco's communique says 24 government aircraft were shot down while seven insurgent planes fell. insurgents report one of their planes lost.
Frederick Chamber of Commerce head Roger B. Wolfe unveiled the Hallowe'en celebration committee for this year’s event in November. Members from Rotary Kiwanis Lions American Legion Drum Corps State Police and local merchants joined as he vowed a “frolic of good clean fun” for children with no floats or horses and a noncommercial parade starting 7:30 pm from the Fountain. City blocks to be roped off and four foot by three foot enamel entrance signs ordered for approaches to the city.
Maryland Pharmaceutical Association and Baltimore Retail Druggists Association plan a regional meeting at Vindobona Hotel Braddock Heights with luncheon at 12 30. President Robert Swain and T E Ragland will open remarks followed by talks on National Association of Retail Druggists convention highlights and a pharmacist seminar. Dr John Krantz Jr to give a dinner address. several local druggists expected to attend.
Berlin reports Germany and Belgium reached a non aggression agreement through notes by foreign ministers. Germany pledged not to infringe Belgian inviolability or territory except if Belgium cooperates in any warlike operations against Germany. The move aims to clarify relations while a Locarno replacement is negotiated.

Extracurricular activities at Frederick High School announce officer elections across Senior and Sophomore dramatic clubs, needlecraft groups, travel and aviation clubs, and the senior band. Named leaders include Kenneth Alexander, Ruth Storm, Warry Shipley, Fred Meitzler, Ophelia Dunse, Robert Gardner, and Ophe lia Dunsi Virn, with numerous roles and 50 member band noted.
Preparations proceed for Donation Days at Frederick City Hospital to be held in November. At the board meeting at the Georgianna Wouck Simmons Home the treasurer, superintendent, and secretary reports were accepted and will be included in the News-Post year book. A Jane Rice Jones estate bequest was accepted. First donation day set for Thursday November 4 with a committee listed to receive gifts. September totals show 218 treated, 168 admitted, 163 discharged, 56 remaining, 43 paid, 0 free, 146 births and 6 deaths.
Frederick County Welfare Board enrollment at Wonchester Hall drew many applicants from Pred crick and Montgomery counties. Twelve whites and two colored from Frederick and two whites and three colored from Montgomery were enrolled before quotas were cut and not all could be accepted.
Orval W Adams, 53, Salt Lake City banker, was elected president of the American Bankers Association at its 63rd annual convention in Boston. He succeeds Tam K Smith of St Louis. Philip A Benson of Brooklyn was elected first vice president and Robert M Hanes of Winston Salem was named second vice president. No opposition to the nominating report.
Chinese lines near Wentsaopang creek and Tazang face a heavy Japanese assault with 15,000 troops. A column breached near Tazang before retreating under machine gun and grenade fire. Capture could force Chinese withdrawals from Chapel sector as international tension grows over bombing near the International Settlement.
Beirut, Syria, Oct. 12 AP The slaying of Consul General James Theodore Marriner was due to a missent letter. A Armenian shooter said he acted after his passport visa request was refused, but records show the consul general had granted the visa and the notification letter was never delivered because the Armenian had moved.
Montgomery County Commissioners on Tuesday ordered an immediate completion of the audit by Wooden & Benson of Baltimore. A report is due next Tuesday. Indictments have followed findings to date for four individuals on misuse of county funds. A separate education board note urged interboard talks on bonds for new school construction. A $724,000 state bond issue remains unsold and a welfare payment of $2,586.51 to the Social Service League was approved for September.
Fifteen persons attended the chest clinic held Tuesday at the Frederick County Health Department offices in Winchester Hall. Dr. E C Kefauver, health officer, and Dr. S Shafer of the State Sanatorium near Sabillasville led the session. A second series of typhoid clinics for the county is planned, with dates to be announced.
