Sharpest Pork Price Cuts Amid Slimmer Meat Declines

Clopper Road Work Bids Sought By State
Baltimore October 12 The State Roads Commission advertised bids for the Clopper road overhaul southeast of Old Germantown in Montgomery county. It also seeks bids for storm sewer outfalls along part of the project to convert Georgia avenue extended into a dual highway north of Silver Spring. The two mile Clopper road job begins at Routes 117 and 116 in Old Germantown and runs southeast toward Gaithersburg ending at Clopper. The plan calls for grading drainage and resurfacing with penetration macadam.

400 At Detrick Donate Blood For Red Cross
More than 400 Detrick civilian and military employees and family members will donate blood today and Monday for the American Red Cross drive. A mobile unit from Washington set up at Camp Detrick. initial line formed at 9 am for a 200 donor quota. Due to strong response a second date was added. the unit can process up to 200 units daily.
