The notorious thief Sam Starr and wife Belle arrived in Fort Smith Arkansas with Deputy Tyner Hughes. Starr surrendered to bail set at 10000 dollars. He was wounded during capture weeks earlier and had escaped guards. Belle was acquitted last Thursday and left with Hughes.
