Fire and Explosion Rage at Bayard Street Factory
A four story factory building at Nos 63 and 67 Bayard street, David Block's tin ware factory, caught fire. Cloak makers Samuel Paul Joseph Werner and Nathan Fried occupied the fourth floor where 50 to 75 workers fled to the roof as flames spread. Women and men leapt to the street to escape. Minnie Rogansky was fatally injured. Estimated loss about 20 000 dollars.

Mormon Conference Opens at Coalville With 100 Attendees
