AIDS witch hunt fears in Montco as teachers cited
Montgomery County parents voiced concern over a so called witch hunt after two AIDS related teacher deaths in the past 13 months. Officials said teachers with AIDS may be removed from classrooms based on medical advice and individual review. The Montgomery County Education Association urged caution, noting medical evidence deems AIDS non contagious in schools. The PTA praised the late Mel Davis as an outstanding teacher amid the controversy.
