Leaders' Bible Class anniversary and area races
The 23rd anniversary of the Leaders' Bible Class was celebrated at Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church with 200 attendees. Highlights included remarks by E. S. Rice, music by Rev. Chester Smith and G. W. Shinoick, a talk by Rev. Wallace Brashears, and remarks by C. A. Gibson who taught the class for 23 years. The three day Great Frederick Fair opened with four races, a fatal horse incident, and a crowd of about 4,000. Art in the Park raised 300 for a daycare center, with Sherry Ebberts winning an oil painting. The One Dozen Club met at the Snapp residence in Damascus with six couples attending various dinners over three years.
