Want Meeting To Vote On Bendix Proposals
Baltimore, Oct 4. About 1,600 members of the International Association of Machinists signaled they want a meeting to vote on Bendix Radio contract proposals. Some 3,000 workers in six Baltimore area plants have been on strike since Sept 1. Officials called the proposals a laughing stock and rejected them. John Knox, back to work chair, said members want to vote and that voting cards were mailed to striking workers.
