The groom is son of Delores Crabtree of Hagerstown, and the bride is daughter of Terrie and William J. Wills III of Fairfield Pennsylvania. The bride, a 1983 Smithsburg High School and 1987 Youngstown State University graduate, works as administration manager for Executove Federal Systems Division in Oakton Virginia. The groom is a 1981 North Hagerstown High School graduate and serves as service manager for Office Suppliers Inc. of Hagerstown. They reside in Germantown.
Janee Dawn Moser and Jason Ryan Hipkins wed on September 7 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Frederick. Fred Grimm officiated as guests included family from Frederick Adams and surrounding areas. The couple resides in Frederick after honeymooning in Ocean City and prior to union, with both families present their ties to local schools and employers. Carrie Williams and Marc Scott announce engagement with planned May 17 1997 ceremony in Minera Point Pennsylvania.
Lehigh Acres Florida residents Mr and Mrs James D Drain formerly of Rockville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 23 at Gaithersburg City Hall Park with family. Married June 24 1931 in Rockville at the Methodist Church Parish. Ann Groshon Drain a Gaithersburg native retired from Woodward and Lothrop after 28 years. James Drain from Buena Vista Virginia retired from Swift and Company after 38 years. They have two daughters Joyce Kidwell and Gloria Graves and eight grandchildren three stepgrandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Tonya Renee Norris and John Walter Wise Jr. of Damascus united in marriage June 22 at Mount Airy Full Gospel Church. Rev. Thomas Gue officiated. reception at Damascus American Legion followed. The bride, daughter of Connie and Jim Norris, is an FDA administrative services tech in Rockville and a 1989 Singapore High School graduate. The groom, son of John W. Wise Sr. and Bob and Pat Holden, is Seichert Engraving manager in Elkridge and a 1981 Crossland High School graduate. They honeymooned in Cape Cod and now reside in Damascus.
Mr and Mrs Martin L Darby of Damascus celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 24 with a cocktail dinner dance at Damascus American Legion Post No 171. Music by Class Act. They wed August 24 1946 at the bride's home in Kemptown, officiated by Rev Chester Smith. Mrs Darby was Madalean Burke of Kemptown. They have two daughters and three grandchildren who hosted the event.
