Two Union Bridge men indicted for attempted murder
Indictments returned by the Frederick County Grand Jury name Mark Andrew Harrison and Richard Ernest Brightwell Jr. as facing felony attempted murder charges from an Aug. 31 shooting at a Libertytown birthday party. The case involves close range shotgun fire injuring Frances Oscar Klipp as well as a second blast that damaged his thumb. Harrison is Brightwell’s stepson. an infant was taken to Elvis and Tina Harbaugh’s home during the incident. Bond hearings sought low cash or no-security release pending trial.
