FCC aviation students refurbish donated T-39A Sabreliner jet
Frederick Community College aviation students and staff transported a surplus T-39A Sabreliner from Davis Monthan AFB to the FCC Hangar at Frederick Airport. Led by Gerard Blake, the project involved two trips, six months and $10,000 to position the jet for hands on FAA maintenance technician training. The jet will provide real world systems experience for about 60 students preparing for FAA certification.
