Delay Move To Free Roberts Delayed Habeas Hearing
Attorneys for James T. Roberts delay seeking release and writ of habeas corpus as evidence is prepared. Roberts faces kidnapping and murder charges after his Maryland arrival tied to the July case of his missing year-old daughter Judith Ann. A habeas hearing would require disclosure of evidence by State's Attorney George Brautigam. Roberts’ counsel Saul von Zamft aims to delay until later this week. A Baltimore fundraising drive for his defense is progressing slowly. Seats for a Halloween parade go on sale with special sealing arrangements around Court and Church streets and outlets at the Smoke Shop Sears Roebuck City Hall and John Lee's haberdashery.
