Drowns of 7 year old in Brunswick creek
A seven year old boy drowned in Little Catoctin Creek near Rosemont on a Thursday morning while with two brothers on a bridge abutment. Rescue efforts by a Cumberland driver, state police, and local crews failed to revive him after he was pulled from water around 12:30 am in near 38 degree conditions. The boy’s mother and siblings witnessed the tragedy as responders attempted resuscitation for about an hour before he was pronounced dead.
