Peron Arrives In Paraguay
Juan D. Peron, Argentina’s ex-dictator for over a decade, arrived in Asuncion to begin exile aboard a Paraguayan gunboat after fleeing Buenos Aires. He landed at Campo Grande Airport at 6:45 p.m. aboard an amphibian plane, escorted by Paraguayan officials and Argentine planes. Newsmen were barred from the field. Peron may seek asylum in Europe amid Argentina’s provisional government led by Maj. Gen. Eduardo Lonardi.

College League Meets at Gettysburg College Chapel
The Woman's League of Gettysburg College met in Gettysburg's old chapel with Mrs. Norman Despeaux presiding in the president’s absence. Miss Maude Davis read scripture and Miss Caroline Winebrenner played piano. They planned the November 3 convention at Gettysburg and voted to send fruit to ill member Mrs. Riddiemoser. The next meeting is December 7. A Salisbury report notes a new 12-member recommission to study Sunday laws in Wicomico County and its first meeting planned for tomorrow night.
