Vietminh defeated in Thai Nguyen as colonial rout advances
Colonial Route 3 saw Panchute troops move in from the north linking with ground forces to mop up after severing the defenders evacuation route. Despite not defeating the Vietminh strength in Thai Nguyen independent observers call it a first magnitude victory. The offensive ruptured a major Vietminh position in North Indochina and will wipe out important Vietminh installations, delivering a prestige blow to Vietminh forces.

How to dodge laws and the fate of breaking them
The essay argues that people evade laws by clever circumvention, from villages to cities and rural roads. It notes that while laws seem adjustable, genuine universals cannot be bent. those who try to defeat them ultimately fail, as the laws of nature, spirit, and economy are unchangeable and will not be broken by cleverness.
