New Market planners OK structure and expansion plan
The New Market Planning Commission approved an accessory structure and an expansion on Tuesday night while not acting on a porch extension request. Charles Knill was cited for moving a prefabricated structure behind the general store onto his property, deemed an accessory structure since a house exists on his lot. Gene and Julia Adams sought a porch extension, but action was not taken due to an outstanding violation on their residence. Vince Candida's request to expand living space, within the existing porch footprint, was approved. The Historic District Commission meets Oct. 8 to consider these proposals.
