Manor Country Club faces tax break revocation over bias

The state seeks to revoke Manor Country Club’s tax break after accusing the all male board of denying associate member Amy Schmidt Hamilton a full membership due to gender. Hamilton, 27, of Olney, has held an associate status for a decade while maintaining a six figure salary and two homes. The attorney general's office cites prior gender balance at the club, noting few women among full members and prior associate members' conversions.
