Bethel Church To Be Rededicated Sunday

The Bethel Evangelical Lutheran congregation of the Utica Lutheran Parish will rededicate its church Sunday at 2 30 p m after extensive remodeling. Rev Dr Amos John Traver will deliver the rededication sermon on To The Glory of God. The centenary celebration continues in November with extensive improvements completed by congregational volunteers.

Welcome New Local Salvation Army Head in Frederick

A welcome service for Adjutant Charles Tritton the new officer in charge of Frederick corps of the Salvation Army will be held at 223 West Fifth street tomorrow evening at eight o'clock. The public is invited to attend. Adjutant Tritton and family have arrived from Washington to take the place of Capt and Mrs Bott who were transferred. He has wide Salvation work experience and training. He is a native of England and his parents are Salvationists of 50 years' standing. The Trittons have four children aged one to eight.

Recognition Service At Hood Sunday Night

The Y recognition service at Hood College in Brodbeck Hall Sunday at 6 15 p m aims to welcome new Y M C A members and renew existing memberships led by Miss Harriette Bowers. Candles will be lit and students form a triangle on campus to symbolize body mind and spirit as they exit. The Truth Seekers class at Calvary Church met at Mrs Harold McDevitt s home with Mrs Walter Eiker presiding. Prayers scriptures and benediction followed by games prizes and refreshments. The next meeting will be at Mrs Ruth Ruey s home on October 27. About half of Canada s population lies south of Minnesota s northernmost point.

Delegates From Here To Attend Convention

Delegates travel from Frederick to the national convention of the Brotherhood of the United Lutheran Church in America in Baltimore from Sunday through Tuesday. Speakers include Rev. Dr. Amos J.
